Topics/Presentations

The following are presentations which Paul offers, but the list is not exclusive. If there is a topic you would like to have him address, please contact him at paul@paulabbe.net, and discuss it with him directly.

1. The “Reformation” continues, but the “Protest” is over! (How and why a “catholic evangelical” became an “evangelical Catholic”)

[3 sessions; short version, more "testimony" than "apologetic training", 1 session]

 

2. ”Reclaim Your Sword”:Convincing Catholics the Bible is NOT a Protestant book!

[This would ideally be a weekend event, providing a "survey" of the Old Testament in 3 sessions, and of the New Testament in 3 sessions. OT survey and NT survey can also be done as separate "package". Can be easily geared to a 48-36 hour youth retreat.]

 

 

4. “365 Day Mary” (or, “Christmas All The Year” ) - Marian Dogma & Devotion, and why it is NOT idolatry.

[min. 2 sessions, ideally 3]

  

5. “Sharing and Defending Your Catholic Faith”

[2 or 3 sessions, intended to be "workshop" style, very practical and "hands on/audience participation" -- excellent for youth retreats]

 

6. “Liturgy, Faith, and Life - How understanding the Church Year, and the Liturgy of the Mass, can deepen your faith.”

[2 or 3 sessions; can be geared to adults or teens]

 

7. “Weapons of the Spirit, (or, “Know Your Enemy, know yourself” - An examination of the anatomy of temptation, and the strategy of the Enemy, and the battle for holiness.) 

[Especially geared to high school teens, for a 48-36 hour retreat - 3 to 4 sessions]
